Delivered Boxed Shares
We deliver boxed shares to multiple locations in the Syracuse area, Cazenovia, and Clinton on Thursdays. Boxed shares typically have between 6-10 items each week and are designed to feed 2-3 adults for the week. Produce in the boxed shares is harvested, washed and packed on Wednesday afternoon for a Thursday morning delivery, so your produce will always be of the freshest, highest quality!
Pick Your Own (PYO) crops are also part of the delivered box share membership. While we are not able to put the PYO crops in your box for you, delivered box share members are encouraged to visit the farm and enjoy the bounty of PYO crops!
Is a delivered box share right for you?
- Your time or location do not permit you to come to the farm every week
- You or your family typically consume enough vegetables to feed 2-3 adults each week
- You enjoy trying new things and appreciate fresh, local, high quality produce
- You are able to cook meals at home 2-3 times each week
- You want the flexibility of being able to visit the farm for Pick Your Own (PYO crops) anytime during dry daylight hours
Delivered box shares are comparable to local pickup shares in terms of quantity and variety of items. In order to provide our delivered members the full variety of what we offer on the farm, the contents of the box will change each week depending on what is ready to be harvested and what is in abundance. While we cannot guarantee that certain items will be placed in the box, we encourage all our members to try new things and to enjoy the shift in produce that comes with the change of the season!
Delivered box share members are always welcome to pick up their share on the farm instead of receiving their delivered box for a particular week. Just be sure to let us know by Tuesday, either in an e-mail or at the farm when you come to visit that you will not be receiving your delivered box that week.
Please refer to the delivery sites for more detailed information regarding specific drop-off times and locations. Please make your own arrangements for boxes if you are going to be out of town. We cannot hold boxes for you, so have a friend pick it up or give it away to someone else if you are not able to take it.
